Nel giro di pochi anni, Valérie ÉKOUMÈ si è affermata come una figura emergente della scena Afropop-Rock a livello internazionale ed entrare nel mondo della cantante franco-camerunense è un’esperienza di cui non ve ne pentirete! Nel suo mondo colorato, l’amore regna sovrano e l’Afropop è lo stile musicale che ha scelto per esprimerlo. Proveniente da una famiglia di musicisti, Valérie ÉKOUMÈ è una cantante franco-camerunense residente in Francia. 

È cresciuta ascoltando vari stili musicali, dalla rumba congolese, alla musica pop (come Michael Jackson), alla musica camerunense. 

La sua vita ha preso una svolta quando, nel 2004, ha iniziato a lavorare attivamente con Manu DIBANGO nella Soul Makossa Gang e nella big band Maraboutik, una delle esperienze più incredibili della sua vita. 

Nel 2005, si è iscritta all’American School Of Modern Music di Parigi, specializzata nella formazione di musicisti, dove è rimasta per 5 anni. Con i suoi tre album in studio DJAALÉ (2015) e KWIN NA KINGUE (Top 10 RFI of the World/Africa album 2017), MONÈ (2022) e l’album dal vivo (2021), il progetto acclamato dalla critica « La Danse de l’Elephant Tour » ha già portato la cantante a calcare palchi e festival di fama mondiale. E con numerose collaborazioni come James BKS, Flavia COELHO, Délia FISCHER… la cantante appartiene a questa nuova generazione multiculturale e ne è influenzata.

Within a few years, Valérie ÉKOUMÈ has established herself as an up-and-coming figure of the Afropop-Rock scene at an international level and entering the world of the Franco-Cameroonian singer is an experience you will not regret! In her colorful world, love is king and Afropop is the musical style she has chosen to express it. From a musician family, Valérie EKOUME is a French Cameroonian singer based in France. 

She grew up listening to various musical styles from Congolese rumba, pop music artists (as Michael Jackson), to Cameroonian Music. Her life took a different turn when in 2004, she started actively working with Manu DIBANGO in the Soul Makossa Gang and the Maraboutik big band, one of the most incredible experience of her life. In 2005, she joint the American School Of Modern Music, in Paris specialized in musician training where she stayed for 5 years .

 With her three studio albums DJAALÉ (2015) and KWIN NA KINGUE (Top 10 RFI of the World/Africa 2017 albums), MONÈ (2022) and the live album (2021), the critically acclaimed project « La Danse de l’Elephant Tour » has already brought the singer to headline world-renowned stages and festivals. And with many partnerships such as James BKS, Flavia COELHO, Délia FISCHER …the singer belongs to this new multicultural generation and is influenced by it.
