Juan Antonio Vázquez’s professional path combines a passion for music and languages with a deep curiosity about the world and its cultures.
For almost 40 years, he has dedicated himself to sharing and promoting music rooted in the traditions of different peoples, becoming a respected voice in the global music scene.
Beyond his extensive work in radio and other media, he founded and manages the international network Transglobal World Music Chart and the LIMúR (Iberian Roots Music Chart).
He frequently serves on juries at international music competitions and has spoken about world and roots music at events across Europe, Asia and Latin America. Currently, he produces Mundofonías, a weekly radio program broadcast on around 50 stations in 18 countries.
He also produces Mil Mundos for Radio Clásica and Mil Mundos en Radio 5, both on Radio Nacional de España (Spanish National Radio), where he additionally hosts El Palabrero, a program devoted to something always on everyone’s lips: words.
