SIMON BROUGHTON

Simon Broughton is a freelance writer and film maker based in London. He first worked as a radio producer and then a TV director at the BBC. He’s been involved with the world music scene for over 40 years. He co-edited the acclaimed Rough Guide to World Music (Penguin) and is the founding editor of Songlines magazine since 1999. He’s written for Songlines, BBC Music Magazine, the Guardian, Independent and Financial Times amongst other publications.
